Soldier From Summit County Dies In Iraq

A marine who went to high school in Summit County has died in Iraq, News 4 reports.

Justin Ellsworth, 20, was a marine. He was killed while rescuing civilians in Fallujah on Saturday, News 4 reports.

Ellsworth attended Summit High School in 2001 and 2002 for his sophomore and junior years. He played on the football team and wrestled.

Those who knew Ellsworth say he always wore a coyboy hat and boots. He was well respected as a hard working and funny kid.

School officials said they plan to put up a plaque for Ellsworth in their memorial park.

Ellsworth's mother lives in Fairplay, but flew to Michigan where his dad lives.
